The new edifice was constructed next to the existing Parliament House under the direction of architect Bimal Patel.
    According to an IE report, Tata Projects served as the CPWD’s contractor, and building got underway in January 2021.There are currently 888 seats in the new Lower House of Parliament (Lok Sabha). Should the size of the House increase due to future redistricting, its capacity can be increased to accommodate more MPs. There are 384 seats in the new upper house (Rajya Sabha) chamber.The Lok Sabha’s interiors include peacock designs, while the Upper Houses are lotus-themed.The new building lacks a Central Hall, unlike the current Parliament.
