Just like everyone, the academic calendar of the country is trying its level best to reach back to the one prior to the pandemic but it’s hard to get there again.
The competitive exams have suffered a lot, the complete time schedule for the competitive exams as well as the time schedule of the fresh sessions is bearing a lot of backlash and still requires more time to return back to the previous pace. The direct impact of all this uncertainty and imbalance is on the students who work hard and study for years in different cities paying great amounts of fees for the preparation of such competitive exams like JEE, NEET, CUET, etc.Source:- The print’The previous 3 years saw a huge variation in the trends of these exam dates as compared to the previous ones, the JEE mains attempts increased from 1 to 2, while the NEET-UG remained 1 and got extremely delayed along with JEE advance, there was also the emergence of this new entrance exam CUET for the central and state universities of the country. The is no clear date schedule for all of these till now which is a huge distressing issue for the students who prepare for it. So the government is planning to fix the time schedule for the competitive exams so that students have ample time and can prepare effectively for the same.
students demand the exam JEE to be held in April and May and NEET in June but this will further delay the beginning of the new session and hence the other academic calendar. The calendar is expected to revolve around the months of April and May with 1st session of JEE(mains) in the month of January and 2nd in April, NEET UG on 1st Sunday of May, and CUET between April and May.
Let’s hope that this decision of the government is quick and turns out to be helpful to the students instead of burying them in the continuously stressful exam atmosphere for months.
