According to Variety, Joe and Anthony Russo’s production firm, AGBO, has been commissioned by Amazon to produce an eight-episode limited series about the collapse of FTX. The Russo brothers are known for their work on a number of TV shows, such as Arrested Development, as well as four movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Avengers: Endgame.
The premiere episode of the FTX series will be written by David Weil, who is best known for creating the TV series Hunters and Invasion. According to Variety, Amazon plans to start production on the show in the spring of 2023.Amazon verified the information. Jennifer Salke, the CEO of Amazon Studios, told Variety, We are pleased to be able to continue our fantastic working relationship with David, Joe, Anthony, and the AGBO team with this interesting event series.FTX, which opened in 2019, was one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges before it crashed quickly and mostly without warning. The exchange’s problems started when it didn’t have enough cash to pay customers. A few days later, it filed for bankruptcy. Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder and CEO of FTX (also known as SBF), who is presently holed up in an opulent Bahamas compound, is at the center of it all. SBF is known for his laid-back attitude, large political donations, and generosity, as well as the speed with which he got very rich and then lost it all. In just a few days, his net worth went from $16 billion to almost nothing. Investigators are currently looking into possible consumer fund theft and other questionable business practices at the company. Not only has Amazon seized the opportunity to turn the FTX story into entertainment. According to earlier rumors, Hollywood is interested in making the book into an A-list motion picture. Michael Lewis, who is known for his novels Moneyball and The Big Short, is most likely the author. It goes without saying that everyone is excited to watch this; are you as well?
