Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam this phrase was already handpicked by PM Modi, during the Covid crisis when India responded to a destructive pandemic by providing vaccines to 96 countries. Now again Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 November unveiled the theme of India’s G 20 summit 2023 as Vasudeva kutumbakam
    But what actually is  Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam? Where does it originate from? What could be the reason to choose this phrase ?It is a Sanskrit phrase that means that the whole world is one single family.So here the Vedic sages are saying that the entire world is truly just one family.It is mention in number of Hindu scriptures .The words originated, from the mantra VI-72 in Maha Upanishad which belongs to Samaveda tradition. The mantra means- The distinction u201cThis person is mine, and this one is notu201d is made only by the narrow-minded (i.e. the ignorant who are in duality). And many many more verses are there in scriptures which emphasis to perceive world as a one single unit or a family.Govt sources asserts that the logo and the theme together convey a powerful message of Indiau2019s G20 Presidency for just and equitable growth for all as the world navigates through turbulent times. In a release the government on Monday had highlighted that the logo, theme and website reflect Indiau2019s message and overarching priorities to the world. So government could have taken consideration Ukraine-Russia war and also need for uniting the world after being hit by a pandemic, to which this phrase suited the most.Now the thing to see is could world actually adopt this phrase? Comment down below.
