So Eastern council meeting was held few days ago. Here are some key takeaways from the meeting. 
    Eastern council meeting, it was chaired by Amit Shah and was held at Kolkata, West Bengal. How helpful this council meeting was? This could be judged on the basis of the results of this meeting which shows that around 1000 issues were not only discussed but 93 percent of issues were solved. 
    The meeting was attended by the Chief Ministers of West Bengal and Jharkhand, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and Ministers from Odisha and other senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the States under the Council.Amit Shah said that States of the Eastern region have a major share in the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gati Shakti Scheme, as Shri Modi has always given thrust on the development of this region. Shri Shah said that in the next 25 years, during the Azadi ka Amrit Kaal, the Eastern region of the country will play an important role in the development of India.Also addressing to the left ideology dominance in the eastern region which is now subdued he said Left Wing Extremism has almost been eliminated from the Eastern region of the country and efforts should be made to sustain this decisive dominance over Left Wing Extremism. In last he said that States should take some steps regarding the issue of narcotics dealings, they must stop it by forming a district level structure for the same. the fight against drugs in the country is now at a crucial stage and there is a need to accelerate the campaign against drugs with the help of Artificial Intelligence. The Zonal Councils discuss a broad range of issues, which include boundary-related disputes, security, infrastructure-related matters like road, transport, industries, water and power, matters pertaining to forests and the environment, housing, and education.
