Many popular faces have joined in the yatra. Recently, Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Yatra.

The increasing number of people standing up to unite the country against hatred shows that we will be successful, Congress said on Twitter.Dr Raghuram Rajan was the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between September 2013 and September 2016. Between 2003 and 2006, he was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund.The former RBI head, a vocal critic of demonetisation, had in the past expressed concerns over India’s economic growth and fiscal deficit. Rajan revealed in his book u2013 I do what I do u2013 that he did not favour demonetisation as he felt the short term economic costs associated with such a disruptive decision would outweigh any long term benefits from it.Videos shared on social media showed Mr Rajan and Mr Gandhi having a discussion while marching as the Congress’s footmarch resumed from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is the only Congress-ruled state the yatra has entered and will cover about 500 km over 17 days before entering Haryana on December 21. People in large numbers were seen joining the march holding banners and party flags.
