Former Australia cricketer Ian Healy, who had made controversial remarks about the pitches in India even before the series began, jumped the gun once more, accusing India of using pitiful and horrible tactics.
The former wicketkeeper-batter even went so far as to urge the ICC to intervene and ensure that the touring team receives the conditions they request.
I think it’s a pitiful attempt. It’s extremely embarrassing that our plans to practise on the Nagpur wicket have been derailed. That’s just not good for cricket, Healy said on SENQ Breakfast.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) needs to step in here and say, ‘Our nations need to trust each other more, and if you request certain conditions to practise and prepare on, you must get them,’ Healy said.
When the Australian legend accused India of attempting to sabotage Australia’s plans for training and acclimating to the conditions, Indian fans slammed him for creating unnecessary controversy.
The Australian team, which used to be strong on and off the field, appears to be failing on both fronts so far on this India tour. Their batters are struggling to score runs against quality spinners, and their media and former players are simply ranting about whatever they see or read from afar.

When Indian batters scored 400 runs on the same track, they questioned Ravindra Jadeja’s integrity after he applied ointment to his finger.
Indian fans are enjoying watching the mighty Aussies cry, and if this is the approach they will take for the rest of the series, we will see more such gems from Down Under.
