Roger Federer hasn’t competed in any tournament since Wimbledon, after undergoing knee surgery for the third time. The Swiss master is still recovering from a knee injury and will compete in the Laver Cup in September. The 20-time Grand Slam winner still earned an estimated $90 million before taxes and agency fees in the previous year, topping the list, with the money coming from endorsements, appearances, and other commercial endeavors.
The second-placed player on the list is Naomi Osaka of Japan, who won four major championships and made around $56.2 million in the previous year. She earns more than Serena Williams, who is scheduled to retire after the US Open, beginning next week.
