According to the sources, the 63-year-old minister was admitted for a standard medical checkup.
    Around lunchtime, she was checked into a private unit of the hospital. Tests are being administered to the finance minister right now. 
    Regarding her condition, no formal announcement has been made. 
    The aforementioned sources claimed that AIIMS would probably release a health alert later in the day.
    The 63-year-old minister’s hospitalisation occurs just one month before the nation’s budget will be presented, which is a critical time period. Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister of finance, was in Chennai on Saturday to attend the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University’s 35th annual convocation. The finance minister stated that there was a clear need to enhance Tamil as a language and that medical education in Tamil Nadu should be taught in Tamil.

    On December 4, Varanasi’s Kashi Tamil Sangamam programme was attended by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman. She stayed in Varanasi for two days to take part in the Kashi Tamil Sangamam on December 3 and 4. She will interact with students at another university event in addition to attending a seminar at Banaras Hindu University on Architecture and Other Heritage Forms in the Indian Knowledge System (IOKS).
