Prince William will not be visiting New York City at the end of the month as previously planned. The Prince of Wales has cancelled his trip to the United States for the Earthshot Prize Summit due to the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit was scheduled for September 21st. Although, following the Queen’s death, all members of the royal family will observe a seven-day mourning period until the late monarch’s funeral on September 19.
    Queen Elizabeth II died in September at Scotland’s Balmoral Castle. While Prince William will not be attending the New York event, the summit will still go place, according to People, and will be co-hosted by other Earthshot Prize organisers and Bloomberg Philanthropies. Matt Damon, Bill Gates, Cate Blanchett, and even Oscar the Grouch were among those who attended.
    Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have been given the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales. The royal pair recently made their first solo appearance since embarking on their new jobs. Prince William recently joined his brother Prince Harry and father, King Charles III, in the procession for the Queen’s church service.
    Prince William issued a statement in response to his grandmother’s death, saying, She was by my side during my happiest times. And she was there for me during the darkest days of my life. I knew this day would come, but it will take some time for the reality of life without Grannie to sink in.
