Former Twitter India employee talks about work, layoffs and how Twitter has changed under Elon Musk 

Early in November, thousands of Twitter employees received a mail announcing they had been let go along with their email, badge, and Slack access. Yash Agrawal, a 25-year-old Public Policy Associate who worked for Twitter India until he received the layoff notification in the first week of November 2022, is one of the affected workers.
Agarwal recalled the day in an interview with India Today Tech, claiming that he read the email before going to bed. He added that while Twitter India staff were anticipating layoffs, they were unsure of how they would occur or how many staff members would be affected. Agarwal added that there was confusion among workers in Indian offices at the time because neither the business nor the new boss had made many announcements.
Nothing was running through my head. I appreciate being a part of Twitter He added while discussing his time spent working for the tech firm. Speaking of the workplace environment, Agarwal claimed that when he first joined the company, there was no micro-management and a human-centric culture. As long as the job was completed, managers were fine. The group supported one another. There were no regulations regarding the hours of operation, added he. Now that Musk bought the microblogging service in the past, that has changed. The remaining Twitter employees must now complete their shifts from the office every day. In fact, Musk said in one of the emails that staff members may be requested to work after hours if necessary. Twitter has created bedrooms with all the essential amenities inside offices in the United States. The goal is to make Twitter a viable business by making staff work nonstop.Agarwal further stated that it was alright to make mistakes on Twitter, but not to repeat them. Globally, the workplace culture was similar. Under Musk’s rule, the employee gets fired after one mistake. Such occurrences have been documented in numerous previous cases. In truth, Musk did once launch an employee on the Twitter service, and only after the person provided the billionaire with factual correction. What do you think about this?
