The consumer products division of Raymond Group comprises a diverse portfolio of brands such as Park Avenue, ColorPlus, and Parx. The division also includes the ‘KamaSutra’ brand of personal care products.
    The acquisition is part of GCPL’s strategic plan to expand its portfolio and strengthen its position in the Indian consumer goods market. The acquisition is expected to provide GCPL with a significant opportunity to leverage its strong distribution network and extensive experience in the personal care and household insecticides segment.

    Commenting on the acquisition, Nisaba Godrej, Executive Chairperson of GCPL, said, We are excited to add the strong brands of Raymond Consumer Care to our existing portfolio. This acquisition is in line with our strategy of enhancing our presence in the personal and home care segments in India. We believe that the acquisition will create significant value for all stakeholders.

Raymond Consumer Care’s brand strengths and distribution network combined with GCPL’s expertise in personal care and household insecticides will create a strong platform for growth.
    The acquisition of Raymond’s consumer products business is expected to give GCPL access to a broader customer base and strengthen its position in the Indian consumer goods market. The acquisition also indicates the increasing consolidation in the Indian consumer goods market, as companies look to expand their portfolios and strengthen their positions in the highly competitive market.
