Appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India vision, Mr Pichai said that Digital India’s vision has certainly been an accelerator for that progress. He added that he was proud to keep making investments in India and to have worked with people, businesses, and governments for two revolutionary decades. According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, We recently announced that we’ll be investing USD 10 billion in India’s digital future, working to enable more affordable internet access, building products for India’s unique needs, supporting businesses of all sizes in their digital transformation, and using AI to tackle big societal challenges. He went on to say, We have trained over 55,000 teachers in conjunction with the government and local organisations, and we are investing heavily in digital skilling. Through our WomenWill Entrepreneurship Program, we have trained over 1 million women. Along with this, we have funded more than 100,000 Google Career Certificates in association with Tata Strive and the NASSCOM Foundation.Mr. Pichai stated that 8 of the 24 new languages added to Google Translate are indigenous to India. It means so lot to see how people may access knowledge and information in their own tongue and how their perspectives on the world are expanded. That’s the reason I’m still so positive about technology, and it’s also the reason I think India can and should keep taking the lead, he continued. The wonderful cooperation between Google and India will be continued, Mr. Pichai added, as we work together to bring the benefits of technology to more people.
