HI announces a cash prize to boost Indian team morale ahead of the Hockey World Cup.

A Silver medal would entitle the players to 15 lakhs, while the support staff would receive 3 lakhs for their contributions to the campaign. And if Harmanpreet and company win a Bronze Medal, they will receive ten lakh rupees each, while the support staff will receive two lakh rupees.
Finishing on the podium at a Senior Men’s World Cup is not an easy task, and we hope this announcement will further increase the motivation levels of the already glory-hungry Indian Men’s Hockey Team.

Previously, India has won three medals at this prestigious event. The team won a bronze medal in the first edition of the prestigious event in 1971, a silver medal in the Amstelveen Hockey World Cup in 1973, and a title in 1975.
The Indian team, which is in pool D with England, Spain, and Wales, will begin their campaign against Spain on January 13 in Rourkela’s newly built Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium, followed by their second pool D match against England.
They will play Wales in their third pool match in Bhubaneswar. The knockout stage will begin on the 22nd and 23rd of January with crossover matches, followed by quarterfinals on the 25th and semifinals on the 27th. The Bronze Medal match and the Final will take place on January 29th.
