They have to deal with unclean wards, disgustingly filthy restrooms, sluggish staff, a lack of drugs and beds, and other infrastructure that these institutions need to handle a lot of serious patients every day.

The tragedy has had a nasty aftermath, despite the usual response from hospital administrators and political leaders, we will look into the matter. Shiv Sena MP Hemant Patil, who had come to tour the hospital, is the target of a defamation lawsuit brought by acting dean of the Nanded hospital, SR Wakode. By instructing Wakode to clean a dirty toilet, Patil humiliated him; a video of the incident went viral and caused uproar.
The MP is accused of hindering a public official from performing his duties and defaming him.It is unfortunate that the failing healthcare system forced the authorities to reassess it only after the loss of priceless lives. But even if it turns out to be a case of better late than never, it would still be beneficial.

To stop the rot, a thorough examination of the underlying issues is required. Maharashtra is involved in yet another example of criminal negligence, therefore it can no longer afford to ignore the situation. A high-level investigation of the 18 patient deaths that occurred in less than 24 hours in August at the government-run Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa, Thane, is still pending its results. Hopefully, a change in strategy would be implemented to stop such catastrophes.
