He enjoys badminton and has participated in many games in this sport.Following this, his father recognised his son’s interest in cricket and registered him in a cricket camp.His first-class debut against Delhi during 2010/11 Ranji Trophy saw him score an impressive 73 runs on his debut.He was signed by the Mumbai Indians in 2011 for just 10 lakh rupees.KKR bought him for Rs 70 lakh in the 2014 IPL auction.He broke the headlines in IPL 2015 when he hit a breathtaking and match-winning 20-ball 46 with five sixes.He was with the KKR for nearly four years.He is currently the keypad batsman for the Mumbai team, earning 3.2 crores per year. He made his T20 debut for India on March 14, 2021, against England.He became the first Indian in international cricket history to hit a six off the first ball he faced.He is referred to as a 360-degree player.He can play on the field from any angle or side.We, the Indians, are proud of this talented player on our cricket team.
