The impounded mobile phones and laptops/desktops of some staffers the account and finance department will be cooperatin handed back after a back-up is taken, sources said. The public broadcaster with its headquarters in London and its Indian division’s business practises are being examined by the department, according to them.
    According to insiders, the probe is related to problems with BBC subsidiary firms’ foreign taxation.     In response, the BJP labelled the BBC as the most corrupt organisation in the world and claimed that the BBC’s propaganda and the goals of the Congress are intertwined. In response to criticism of the I-T action from the Congress, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said the government body should be allowed to carry out its duties.
    He attacked the public broadcaster with its headquarters in London, calling it the most corrupt organisation in the world, and he reminded the Congress that the broadcaster had also been outlawed by the previous prime minister, Indira Gandhi. According to the BJP leader, BBC has a tainted and black history of working with malice against India.
