Pakistan Fast pacer, Mohammad Wasim pulled out of practice early, in Dubai due to unbearable back pain. In the lead-up to the Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan has already lost their star left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi to a knee injury. As per analysts, this recent scare can turn the table in favor of the India team.At the ICC Academy, Mohammad Wasim complained of lower back pain when bowling. He is believed to have undergone an MRI scan. Since arriving in Dubai on Tuesday, Wasim has taken part in each of the team’s three training sessions. He has played 11 T20Is for Pakistan so far, taking 17 wickets at an average of 15.88 and an economy of 8.1.Wasim stood out during Pakistan’s home series against Australia in March, as he picked up five wickets in three one-day matches. The injury scare, meanwhile, may be troubling for Pakistan, which is already grappling with Afridi’s absence from the competition.
Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi has traveled to the UAE with the Pakistan squad to complete his recovery. The 22-year-old is consulting Shaun Tait, who has been appointed as the team’s fast bowling guru.
