India finished at 278/6 on the first day of the first test played against Bangladesh. The match was played at Zahur Ahmed Stadium in Chattogram. Cheteshwar Pujara missed his century by 10 runs as he was dismissed at 90 by Taijul Islam. Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten at 82 runs. Team India got quick blows as the opposing batting line-up got out early while Pujara and Iyer added 149 runs together to fight Bangladesh’s bowlers. Taijul Islam took three wickets, including Pujara’s important wicket.Rishabh Pant’s aggressive knock helped India reach 174 runs till tea.Pant scored 46 runs by scoring six fours and two sixes to add to his 64-run partnership with Pujara.
But Rishabh was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan.
