South Africa’s captain Temba Bavuma, who is struggling with the bat, will face enormous pressure. On the other hand, Reeza Hendricks, who has four 50-run innings in the last five, is warming the bench.
Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batter, hasn’t faced a ball since his 20-run cameo against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup. In 16 games, he scored 219 runs at a strike rate of 120.99 and took four wickets. Shahbaz’s bat is extremely useful. In the Ranji Trophy, he was Bengal’s leading run-scorer. In five matches, he has scored 482 runs, including a century and three half-centuries.
