India was in a very difficult position when Bangladesh spinners hunted down the top order on day 3.
Shalib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan took the wickets of the top order, making India reply 45/4.
Axar Patel was sent up in the order and managed to rescue India from a defeat. Axar Patel scored 34 runs before he lost his wicket to Mehidy Hasan.
Ashwin and Iyer made a 50-run partnership and helped India gain the victory on the 4th day of the Test at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Bangladesh.
Ravichandran Ashwin remained unbeaten at 42. He finished the match with a six and a four. He scored four boundaries and one six to end Bangladesh’s hope.
Shreyas Iyer supported Ashwin to remain in his beast mode as he scored 29 runs along with Aswin Iyer, who also remained not out.
Player of the match is won by Ravi Ashwin.
Despite Bangladesh’s superb performance overall, as Mehidy Hasan took 5 wickets, Shakib also left no stone unturned but the match slipper from their hand.
