The Smriti Mandhana-led team had four consecutive losses and finished at the bottom of the five-team points table. Kohli, who is currently in Mumbai for the first ODI against Australia, paid a visit to the RCB camp and offered moral support to his female counterparts.
The star cricketer’s words of wisdom worked like magic, and Mandhana’s team won for the first time this season. The Bengaluru-based team won by five wickets over Alyssa Healy’s UP Warriorz in the biggest women’s cricket league.
A day after the game, RCB posted a video on their social media accounts showing Kohli visiting their team room, giving them a pep talk, and boosting their morale.
The best part was that, rather than focusing on their team’s recent losses, the former India captain offered them a broader perspective. He inspired them by citing his own failure to win the IPL trophy despite participating in every edition since its inception in 2008.

Success is never guaranteed for any professional athlete, no matter how talented they are or how hard they work behind the scenes. Failures are an unavoidable part of their lives.
Kohli, a generational talent, has also experienced various highs and lows throughout his career, and it was wonderful to see him taking time out of his schedule to cheer up the players who were going through some difficult times.
