The auction will start with the batters’ set which  will involve stars like Joe Root and Mayank Agarwal.
    The final auction pool has been lessened to 405 players from the originally registered 991, with a maximum of 87 slots available to be filled by the 10 IPL franchises. Of these, 30 spots will be for the overseas players. Out of 405 players, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players of which four are from the associate nations. The total capped players are 119, uncapped players are 282 and four from the associate nations.The auction will begin with capped players, with the IPL dividing them into different sets based on specialization. The IPL announced the order in an e-mail to franchises on Tuesday: batters, allrounders, wicketkeeper-batters, fast bowlers, and spinners. The uncapped players will be placed in the same order.
