In a highly anticipated IPL 2023 match between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad put up a stellar bowling performance to bundle out the Royals for a paltry score of 118 runs.
Winning the toss, the Royals decided to bat first but failed to get going against the lethal Titans bowling attack. The Titans’ bowlers struck early and kept the pressure on the Royals batsmen throughout the innings.
Rashid Khan, the Afghan spin sensation, was the pick of the bowlers for the Titans, taking 3 wickets for just 18 runs in his four overs. Noor Ahmad, the young Afghan left-arm spinner, also impressed with his bowling, taking 2 wickets for 24 runs in his four overs.
The Royals’ batting lineup struggled to get going against the Titans’ bowling and were eventually bowled out for just 118 runs in 19.5 overs. Skipper Sanju Samson top-scored with 33 runs, while the rest of the batting order failed to contribute significantly.
In response, the Titans got off to a solid start, with their openers putting up a 50-run partnership before the first wicket fell. They eventually chased down the target with ease in the 16th over, with skipper Kieron Pollard smashing an unbeaten 52 off just 26 balls.
The Titans won the match by 7 wickets, with Rashid Khan being awarded the Player of the Match for his excellent bowling performance. The Royals, on the other hand, will have to regroup and come back stronger in their next match to keep their playoff hopes alive in IPL 2023.
