In the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 season, Virat Kohli, the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, has reached a significant milestone by becoming the first player to score 7000 runs in the IPL. However, the Indian skipper is not resting on his laurels and is determined to continue working hard to achieve more.
Kohli, who achieved this feat during RCB’s match against Delhi Capitals, said in a post-match interview, It’s a nice milestone to achieve, but it’s not something that I am really focused on. For me, it’s always been about contributing to the team’s cause and helping the team win matches.
The 34-year-old batting maestro also added that he wants to continue working hard and improving his game, as he believes that there is always room for growth and development. I am always looking for ways to improve my game, whether it’s my batting technique or my fitness level. I want to keep pushing myself and keep getting better, he said.
Kohli’s dedication and hard work have already paid dividends for RCB, who are currently sitting at the top of the IPL 2023 points table. The team has won six out of their eight matches so far, with Kohli playing a crucial role in their success.
The Indian captain will be hoping to continue his good form and lead his team to their maiden IPL title this season. With his focus and determination, there’s no doubt that Kohli will continue to achieve many more milestones in his career.
