India will face New Zealand in the series with her T20I as it has three ODIs. KL Rahul from both teams and Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from T20Is have been removed for the biggest changes. Rahul’s non-selection was explained in his BCCI statement, but no information about Kohli and Rohit was provided.
KL Rahul and Aksa Patel were reportedly unable to attend the New Zealand Home Series due to family commitments, according to a BCCI statement.Rahul will marry Bollywood actress Atiyah Shetty later this month. It is speculated that he will not be able to participate in the match.
The statement also explains that all-rounder Ravindra Jadeya has not played in the Border Gavascar Series’ two friendly matches against Australia. Jadeja needs to get in shape before being added to the team.
However, there is no mention of Kohli and Rohit, who are currently facing Sri Lanka in the ODI series. BCCI secretary Jay Shah also ignores her absence.
Before theT20I squad for her series was announced earlier this month, a PTI report showed India would appoint only format experts, with players like Kohli out of her T20Is. I suggested that I be granted leave.
In fact, despite returning to ODI, Kohli was not selected for his T2OI in Sri Lanka. However, Rohit missed recovery due to his finger injury. India will play only two more T20I series this year. Once she will face Australia in India after the 2023 ODI World Cup, and once she will face the West Indies in July and she will face the West Indies in August.
