According to IndiGo’s statement, the incident occurred on December 10 on flight 6E 7339 from Chennai to Tiruchirapalli when a passenger unintentionally unlocked the emergency exit while passengers were boarding the aircraft. The traveller instantly expressed regret for the behaviour. The incident was reported in accordance with SOPs, and the aircraft conducted necessary engineering checks, which caused the flight’s departure to be delayed, it read.
    The DGCA stated on Tuesday that the incident was properly reported and that no safety had been compromised. The crew took note, and as a result, all necessary airworthiness procedures were completed before the aircraft was released for takeoff, including the installation of the door and a pressurisation check. No security was jeopardized, the representative added.
