Three officers have been moved: a Colonel, a Lieutenant Colonel, and a Brigadier stationed in Rajouri.
The Army has also started a court of inquiry. Although a number of political parties in the now-UT state of Jammu and Kashmir have called for an unbiased investigation into the tragedy, the administration of the state has pledged jobs and compensation for the deceased’s family members.

Terrorist activity is on the rise in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. The Army has increased counterterrorism operations as a result of this. Any departure from the usual operating procedure, however, cannot be accepted or disregarded.
