A wave of excitement swept through Chennai as fans of legendary actor Kamal Haasan gathered in cinema halls to celebrate the release of “Indian 2.” The film, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Shankar, hit the big screens after a long delay and nearly four years of shooting.     “Indian 2” is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster “Indian,” where Kamal Haasan portrayed the iconic character Veerasekaran Senapathy. The franchise reunites Kamal Haasan and director S. Shankar, promising an exhilarating cinematic experience. The first poster of “Indian 2” was unveiled during the Pongal festival in 2020, featuring vigilante Senapathy (played by Kamal Haasan) standing with his trademark twisted finger in handcuffed hands.
