Kartik Aaryan, a prominent figure in Bollywood who debuted with Luv Ranjan’s 2011 hit *Pyaar Ka Punchnama*, has shared his feelings about not being cast in Ranjan’s recent success, *Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar* (2023). Despite his cameo appearance in the film, Aaryan revealed that Ranjan chose Ranbir Kapoor for the lead role, a decision that was both surprising and understandable for the actor.

In a candid conversation with Lallantop, Aaryan explained, “Luv Ranjan informed me about the film. I think he had his own reasons to not cast me and it’s not necessary that all directors will make films with the same actor. And I am sure whenever we collaborate again, we will have fun. We are extremely comfortable with each other. I feel we never really had our relationship affected by this. However, I am extremely possessive about my team.”

Aaryan’s longstanding professional relationship with Ranjan began with *Pyaar Ka Punchnama*, followed by *Akaash Vani* (2013) and *Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2* (2015). Reflecting on this bond in a previous interview with News18, he expressed, “Luv launched me and he will always have a special place in my heart.” He remains optimistic about future collaborations with Ranjan.

Kartik Aaryan is currently preparing for the release of *Chandu Champion*, directed by Kabir Khan. The biographical sports drama, based on the life of India’s first Paralympics gold medalist Murlikant Petkar, demanded rigorous preparation from Aaryan, including giving up sugar for over a year and a half. The film is slated to hit theaters on June 14. Additionally, Aaryan is set to star in *Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3*, alongside Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan.
