Earlier, Amritpal Singh was seen fleeing in a motorbike and then on a motorized three-wheeler in Punjab. The latest proves that the Khalistan sympathizer crossed the state border on Monday only. Several of his aides have been arrested and the cops are piecing together the events that unfolded since Saturday.
Here are the latest findings in the Amritpal hunt case:
    1. On March 18, the Punjab Police started the crackdown on Waris Punjab De and Amritpal Singh. On March 19, Amritpal Singh was already in Haryana.
    2. Baljit Kaur, a resident of Kurukshetra, admitted that she gave shelter to Amritpal Singh and his aide Papalpreet Singh.
    3. Amritpal and Papalpreet stayed at Baljit Kaur’s place for the night and left the very next day.

    4. How did Amritpal get to Haryana? based on CCTV footage, police said Amritpal’s fleeing bid involved many vehicles. They changed their two-wheeler at a gurdwara at Sehowal village and took an overbridge to get across the river. Then they hired an auto-rickshaw and after this, they were located at Kurukshetra.
    5. As Amritpal was looking for a boat, he even went near the Ladhowal railway station.
    6. At Baljit’s place, Amritpal made some calls which indicated that they were planning to move to Uttarakhand, reports said. Police said all states, including Uttarakhand, were alerted after it was found out that Amritpal Singh fled Punjab and went to Haryana.

    7. Amritpal Singh’s escape route from Punjab: Fron Nangal Ambian gurdwara, Amritpal, and Papalpreet reached Sheikhpura. They probably took a truck to cross over to Haryana.
    8. In the latest CCTV footage, neither Amritpal nor Papalpreet can be seen but from their gait police suspect that the man with the umbrella is Amritpal Singh and the man walking ahead of him is Papalpreet.
