We dared to dream of one day competing in a Grand Slam and honorably representing our nation at the highest level of sports, full of hope despite the odds that were stacked against us. In an official statement, Sania said, As I look back on my career now, not only did I get to play well over half a century of Grand Slam tournaments, but I was also lucky enough to win a bunch of them, with God’s grace.
Sania had stated earlier this week, She stated, The intention is to attempt to retire in Dubai during the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Sania and Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina will play in the women’s doubles competition at the Australian Open.
Sania won the mixed doubles and women’s doubles titles in 2009 and 2014, respectively, after making her Australian Open debut in 2005.
