The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is currently underway in India, and one name that has caught many people’s attention is Mia Bhuta, the very first player with Indian background to play for the United States in a World Cup. It didn’t take long for the 16-year-old to assert her authority, slamming a long-range screamer in the USA’s debut against India, resulting in her side clinch an 8-0 win over the hosts earlier this week in Bhubaneshwar.Soon after, her internet popularity skyrocketed, with congratulatory messages pouring in from all over the world and some of the best in the business praising her incredible effort. One among them was US Women u2019s National Soccer team Team (USWNT) winger Megan Rapinoe, but Mia was unaware of what had happened until a staff member informed her after a post-match drug test. So, after the game, they chose two people at random to be drug tested. So it had been about two hours since the game. We were ultimately on our way home, barely fitting into the car. And one of our employees simply said, ‘Hey, you’re on her (Megan’s) Instagram story.’ And I instantly said, ‘No way.’ ‘Like, let me see.’And then I saw it and texted my parents, who were like, ‘Oh wow.’ Like, that’s crazy. So yeah, it was just a really fun moment, the midfield player told journalists on Thursday night during a virtual press conference from Bhubaneshwar. What are your thoughts on this? Comment below.
