The forecast is in opposition to the US bureaucracy’s entrenched reluctance to engage with India. Longer-term results would be a truer indicator of success for the two leaders than the fanfare.     Going forward, New Delhi would want a partnership of equals, a strategic engagement that is considerate of its worries and takes into account its perceptions of danger. The biggest issue is still developing a consultative system for addressing new global realities together.
    The Prime Minister’s invitation to address the joint session of Congress, making him the first Indian leader to do so twice, honours the two nations’ lasting affinity. Another issue is that India’s position on Russia and China will be examined in the address.
    Many people believe that Washington is pursuing India in order to close weapons agreements and as a possible counterbalance to China. Along with the strengthening of the strategic technological collaboration, including in defence, renewable energy, and space, a jet engine production agreement that may completely revolutionise the Indian aerospace sector is envisaged.

    Additionally, it is hard to dismiss the visit’s electoral significance. Prime Minister Modi has actively sought worldwide grandstanding as part of his primary political strategy, which has been diaspora diplomacy. The hosts are aware of the electoral clout of Indian-Americans. They are the second-largest immigrant group in the USA and the fastest-growing voting bloc, with a population of close to 50 lakh.
