The motion cited various concerns, including the administration’s handling of player selections, the development of grassroots tennis programs, and the overall governance of the sport in India. The dissatisfaction had been brewing for some time, as critics believed that AITA’s approach was limiting the growth of Indian tennis on the global stage. However, with the no-confidence vote looming, several senior members of AITA stepped in to mediate and ease tensions within the organization.

After a series of meetings and discussions, the members who initially supported the motion decided to withdraw it, signaling a willingness to work with Jain to address their concerns. It is believed that the intervention of key figures within Indian tennis, along with a promise of reforms and greater transparency in AITA’s decision-making, played a pivotal role in defusing the situation.

Jain, who has been at the helm of AITA since 2020, has expressed his relief at the withdrawal of the motion and reaffirmed his commitment to the betterment of Indian tennis. He has promised to address the concerns raised by the disgruntled members and to ensure a more collaborative environment within AITA. The withdrawal of the motion is seen as a positive step toward uniting the organization and focusing on the future development of tennis in India.
