But how did this issue come to light? The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir passed a judgement saying moviegoers should be allowed to carry their own food inside the theatre. The Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha, explained that a movie theatre is a private property, and the owner can reserve admission on the premises. It is, however, mandatory to provide the moviegoers with clean and safe drinking water. People coming with infants are allowed to carry a reasonable amount of food for the child. The SC further stated that a movie theatre is a place of entertainment, not a gym, and that people have to carry healthy snacks and beverages.It was also said that moviegoers are not being forced to buy the (overpriced) food in the theatre. What are your opinions on this judgement?
