Despite the low scoring, the match went down to the wire and enthralled everyone. Despite a brilliant bowling performance, Delhi were unable to prevent Mumbai Indians from capturing the prestigious trophy because they did not score enough runs.
Harmanpreet Kaur expressed relief after winning her first trophy as captain, saying, Personally, I had been waiting for this moment for a long time when I could as a captain win something which is so important for women’s cricket and this time we were able to do it and I think I just want to keep doing it in the future as well.
    Mumbai Indians deserved to win.
The Mumbai Indians deserved to win the trophy based on their overall performance on the pitch, but their victory was marred by a few contentious umpiring decisions, particularly one involving their Delhi Capitals’ star opener Shafali Verma.
After winning the toss and batting first, the Delhi Capitals got off to the worst possible start, losing three key wickets inside the powerplay. Surprisingly, all three batters were out on full tosses from Issy Wong.
    Disagreement Over Shafali Verma’s Wicket
After the TV umpire ruled that the deliveries were legal, the first two batters were given marching orders. The delivery that sent Shafali Verman packing in the second over of the game was the most contentious.
Opinions are divided. There were two points of view. One who was convinced that it was a waist-high delivery and thus a no-ball, but also believed that it was a perfectly legal delivery because Shafali’s back leg was bench at the time of contact.
After the Delhi Capitals were defeated by the Mumbai Indians by seven wickets, their dejected fans began accusing the Mumbai Indians of ‘buying’ the umpires.

According to Harmanpreet Kaur, they were lucky with full tosses going in our favour. However, those fortunate dismissals were not the only reasons they won the trophy.
They played far superior cricket to their opponents and deserved to win the trophy. Instead of levelling slanderous accusations at them, Delhi Capitals fans should simply accept that it was not meant to be this time.
