u00a0Pakistan’s ex-Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has survived a gun attack while holding a protest march in the eastern city of Wazirabad.
He was injured in the leg and four other people were also hurt when a burst of gunfire hit their platforms, he was hit 4-5 times by a gun by a man who was captured that moment only he shot.
There was no immediate official comment on the motive for the attack which others say was an assassination thing.The protest march had been called to demand early elections.
The former prime minister was seen being taken to a hospital in Lahore. A party spokesman said he had been hit in the ankle.u00a0When the man was captured and questioned he replies: He was misguiding the people. I wanted to kill him. I tried to kill him \u00a0 Current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the shooting and ordered an immediate investigation.u00a0
President Arif Alvi said the incident was a heinous assassination attempt.
Pakistan isn’t safe for officials too.Perhaps now Pakistani officials will understand why they are being portrayed as a terrorist nation.
