The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate with the opposition party in the smooth functioning of Parliament. PM Modi, Amit Shah, and Rahul Gandhi (as he is busy with Bharat Jodo Yatra ) were not seen attending the all-party meeting. Different agenda of various party was put on the table and they are going to raise them in parliament. The concern of party are reported by Indian Express in its report.
BJP is all set to introduce 25 bills in this winter session which includes 16 new bills, 7 pending bills, and 2 financial bills. Congress wanted to raise the topic of China’s alleged intrusion into Indian territory, inflation, and attack on independent institutions (ED, CBI, etc.). The controversial appointment of a new election commissioner in just one day on which the Supreme Court also showed some concern was also on the list of the agenda of the Congress party. Reservation based on economic criteria that were upheld by Supreme Court is also going to be debated. TMC also has the same issue but they have some different issues as well related to federalism it includes economic blockade of states, and attempts to destabilize elected state governments like West Bengal. AAP concerns were related to the old pension system and minimum support price. While Shiv Sena(Shinde faction) raised the demand for a population control bill. What do you think about how chaotic this parliamentary session going to be? With 25 bills pending and each party, demand varies according to their political agenda how smooth is it going to be?
