The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the appointment of Grant Bradburn as the new head coach of the Pakistan cricket team. The New Zealander will be taking over the position from Misbah-ul-Haq, who stepped down from the role earlier this year.
Bradburn brings a wealth of coaching experience to the job, having previously served as the head coach of Scotland’s national team. He has also worked as an assistant coach with Pakistan in the past and has been praised for his ability to develop young talent.Speaking about his appointment, Bradburn said, It is an honour to be appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team, a side with such a rich cricketing history and talent. I am looking forward to working with the players, support staff and the PCB to help the team achieve its full potential.
The PCB’s decision to appoint Bradburn comes after an extensive search for a new head coach. The board reportedly considered several candidates before settling on Bradburn, who was seen as the best fit for the job.
Bradburn will have his work cut out for him as he takes over the reins of a team that has been struggling for form in recent times. However, his experience and coaching skills will be valuable assets as he seeks to help Pakistan return to winning ways in all formats of the game.
