The expressway connects the city of Nagpur to the city of Shirdi.
    This expressway is part of the Hindu Hradayasamrat Balasaheb Thackrey Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, which has a total length of 701 kilometers.This expressway was the idea of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He developed this plan in 2015 when he was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.The construction of the Samrudhhi expressway is expected to cost Rs 55,000 crores. This expressway connecting Nagpur and Mumbai is one of Indiau2019s longest expressways.This project will cover 10 districts, 26 talukas, and 392 villages, including the cities of Amravati, Aurangabad, and Nasik.This project will reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Nagpur to 7 hours.It also covers the industrial areas of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), the dry ports of Wardha and Jatna, and the Mumbai JNPT.Following the announcement, PM Modi bought a ticket and rode the Metro from Freedom Park to Khapri.On the ride, he talked to students and entrepreneurs.The Prime Minister also laid the groundwork for the PASE 2 rail project, which is expected to cost 6700 crores.The PM reached Nagpur a few days earlier, where he was received by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, CM Eknath Shinde, and deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.The Prime Minister also stopped the Vande Bharat Express from Nagpur to Bilaspur.
