Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a global face today. She dons multiple hats of an actor, producer, author, and entrepreneur. The actress has a huge fan following and is one of the only four Indians to make it to the list of BBCu2019s u2018100 Womenu2019 this year.  The actress spoke candidly on a variety of topics in her interview with a news portal, including pay inequality and body shaming. She admitted that she experienced body shaming in her early days in Bollywood because of her complexion, I was called ‘black cat’, ‘dusky’.
    Priyanka won Miss India in 2000 and then she entered Bollywood. In 2002, she made her acting debut in The Hero with Sunny Deol. The Mujhse Shaadi Karoge actress recalled her nicknames, saying, I was called a black cat, dusky. In a nation where we are essentially all brown, what even does the term dusky mean? I thought I was not pretty enough, I believed that I would have to work a lot harder, even though I thought I was probably a little bit more talented than my fellow actors who were lighter skinned.u201d The actress believed that it was right and normal.

    Pay DisparityWhen asked about the pay gap, Priyanka Chopra responded that she wouldn’t even receive 10% of what her male co-stars received. She said, I figured it was okay to wait for my male co-actor.The actress has received a National Award for Fashion. She has also given outstanding performances in movies like Bajirao Mastani, Mary Kom, Barfi, and 7 Khoon Maaf, among others.Work frontPriyanka will be next seen in Citadel.
