Former RCB player De Villiers is optimistic about the IPL team’s fortunes changing as the league enters its sixteenth season in 2023. In an interview with Star Sports, the South African stated that winning the first title will help RCB break free and that the team may win a few more trophies fairly quickly.
How many seasons have passed now? There were quite a few, 14 or 15 or whatever. As a result, they long to be free. If RCB wins one, I believe they will quickly win two, three, and four, but let’s wait and see what happens; T20 cricket is a bit of a gamble at times, and anything can happen. Especially in knockout games, but hopefully RCB’s turn is on the way, de Villiers said.source: Royal Challengers BangaloreDe Villiers has stated that he will retire from all forms of cricket in 2021. The right-handed batter, nicknamed Mr.360 by his fans, appeared in 184 IPL matches and scored 5162 runs at an average of 39.71.
The 38-year-old has stated that he intends to return to RCB in a new capacity in 2023. Meanwhile, RCB will be hoping that the return of one of their most well-known players will help them break the curse.
