The RSS has claimed that enforcing the ban would enhance the nation’s democratic system and accused previous (read: Congress) governments of using the initiative to pursue their own political agendas.

When he spoke last week about how people want to be supermen and gods, RSS president Mohan Bhagwat reportedly made a reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Leaders of the Sangh have also made it clear that their group will not take the BJP lightly.For the first time in ten years, the BJP is reliant on allies, and it appears willing to compromise in order to maintain power.

Next year marks the centennial of the RSS, and the ruling party is expected to go all out to placate Bhagwat and associates.
