Revanth’s statement was in a sarcastic tone as he was also quoting the words of PM Modi when Modi delivered a speech holding the CM post in Gujarat. PM Modi said that the Indian rupee is in ICU, that time rupee was 66 against 1 us dollar. Revanth ended up speech by saying Modi Ji and I have the same question.
Replying to this finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that although PM Modi made remarks on the Indian rupee he was just not referring to that aspect only, there were many other economic factors as well that were performing badly.
Adding to that she also said some people are feeling jealous when the Indian economy is performing extremely well. That they are not happy with the issue of the Indian rupee being in a good position as compared to other currencies. Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Indian rupee fall against the US dollar not because the Indian rupee is becoming weak but because the US dollar is becoming stronger. India is performing well if compared to other currencies. Well, many experts do agree with the statement given by the finance minister. Others like the South Korean Won down 17.1%, while the pound sterling is down 16.6%. The Euro is down 14.2%, the Philippines peso is down 13.6%, Taiwan dollar is down 13.5%.
