We have faced challenging times as the pandemic wreaked havoc on our lives, barely leaving anyone unaffected, either directly or indirectly.     Despite lockdowns and immunisations, the coronavirus’s devastation, which was wrecked over the globe in catastrophic waves, was unstoppable. Unaware infected passengers flying to or from work or home spread the fatal disease far and wide. 
    The several pandemic waves were characterised by overcrowded and overwhelmed public facilities, people panting for air and medicine, endless rows of pyres burned, and cemeteries excavated. Economic disruptions brought on by Covid’s trillion-dollar losses added to the issue. 
    While lesser waves keep erupting and many people experience long Covid” symptoms, a syndrome that both medical professionals and patients are still trying to understand, the long-term repercussions remain.

    Covid is therefore here to stay, but with a lessened bite. We must learn how to appropriately coexist with it, but owing to the harsh lessons it has taught us, we are now well prepared. No one should let their guard down at any level, including local, national, and global.
