Despite knowing that Archer would not participate in IPL 2022, MI acquired his services during the IPL mega auction last year. Archer, who made his debut for MI against Royal Challengers Bangalore, has appeared in only two of the five-time champions’ seven games so far.
Concerned about his fitness, Archer reportedly flew to Belgium in the middle of IPL 2023 to undergo an elbow procedure. Archer, on the other hand, has slammed the reports and even accused the reporter of exploiting the situation for personal gain.
It’s insane to publish an article without knowing the facts and without my permission. Whoever the reporter is, shame on you, an already worrying and troubling time for a player, and you exploit it for your personal gain, people like you are the problem, Archer tweeted.

So far in IPL 2023, Archer has played two matches and taken one wicket. Archer, who returned to international cricket earlier this year, hopes to be named to England’s squad for the upcoming Ashes series against Australia.
Despite his injury issues, England is hopeful that the Barbados-born pacer will play in the five-match series, which begins on June 16 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
