The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) strongly criticized the Chief Minister of Telangana for his recent remark on “Bihari genes,” deeming it as shameful and casteist. The statement made by the Chief Minister has sparked controversy, with the BJP condemning it as an affront to the principles of inclusivity and unity.

Accusing the Telangana CM of perpetuating divisive rhetoric, the BJP asserted that such comments have no place in a democratic and diverse society. The party emphasized the importance of fostering national integration and condemned any attempt to sow seeds of regionalism or caste-based discrimination.

In a scathing response, BJP leaders labeled the remark as not only an insult to the people of Bihar but also reflective of a regressive mindset that goes against the ethos of a united India. They called for an apology from the Chief Minister and urged him to refrain from making statements that could inflame regional tensions.

The controversy has added fuel to the ongoing political discourse, with opposition parties also condemning the CM’s statement. Critics argue that injecting caste into political discussions is detrimental to the country’s social fabric and hampers the progress towards a more inclusive society.

This incident underscores the sensitivity of identity-based comments in the political arena and highlights the need for leaders to choose their words carefully. As the political fallout continues, it remains to be seen whether the Telangana CM will address the concerns raised by the BJP and other critics, or if the controversy will deepen, further polarizing public opinion.
