Masood was struck on the right side of the head by Mohammed Nawaz’s shot. Before being taken to the hospital, the southpaw lay on the ground for quite some time. 
    The 33-year-old has played twelve Twenty20 Internationals for Pakistan, scoring 220 runs at a strike rate of 125.00 and hitting two fifties.
    Finalists in the first edition in 2007, champions the following year, and semifinalists three times since then, Pakistan is one of the favorites to advance to the knockout stage in Australia, joining archrival India, South Africa, Bangladesh, and two first-round qualifiers.
    The jinx of never defeating India in a World Cup game in any format was broken last year when Babar and Rizwan led Pakistan to a massive 10-wicket win in the United Arab Emirates during the T20 World Cup. Pakistan advanced to the semifinals after winning all five of its group games before losing to Aus.
