Bollywood actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha has broken his silence on his recent hospitalization. The veteran actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital due to “viral fever and weakness.” His son, Luv Sinha, had earlier confirmed the news.
Shatrughan addressed speculations surrounding his health. He playfully remarked that the Mumbai entertainment media was so starved for news that they would publish anything. Dismissing rumors of falling off a sofa, he clarified that they were untrue. While aware of who spread these rumors, he chose not to name the person, considering them a “well-wisher who means no harm.”

The actor emphasized the importance of routine annual checkups, especially for those over 60. Reflecting on three months of continuous election campaigning and his daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s recent wedding, Shatrughan acknowledged that he is no longer the “hotblooded energy-driven young man who could do three shifts a day and still have the energy to party all night.” He stressed the need to slow down and take care of one’s health.
Shatrughan expressed joy about his daughter’s wedding, dismissing any contrary speculations. He also thanked well-wishers, including Arun Shourie, Yashwant Sinha, and Ravish Kumar, for their affectionate wishes.
